No Spreadheal unfortunately, though we do pick up the spec Group Heal from Druids as well as the Greater Heals.
Most small group specced bards can expect to pick up a more expensive but less efficient greater group heal, but a 432 delve 2.2 second cast time heal that costs 66 power. _________________ Bard TL |

Please correct me if i am wrong about it, but afaik we already have a specc-groupheal and the "cheap 'n' slow" speccheal? Unlike Heretics and the other classes we don't really need it, thats simply not balanced. We desperatly need other things and if they want us to be rupt/heal/song/supporting hybrids we should have access to chain or equivalent buffs/casts/absorbption/defensive. If they want us to use our poor Weapons they should redesign the whole bard-concept and put utlity in 2 lines who have only a level 10 sidesnare to offer. For what exactly do i need after-block styles on my bard? For what exactly do i need styles, which won't harm my enemy (except rupt him) at all?
And i won't talk about issues like our "great" Confusion of Doom against Theurgist pets who got nerfed like.....hmm...like.....ohh excuse me loved! Not to mention a second CC ability (wow sometimes i am dreaming).
But i won't QQ forever. You are right. For small groups this is indeed an enhancement. |

This patch was in no way pointed directly at Bards.
Mythic is attempting to polish the base roles of all secondary and tertiary healers. Overall realm balance perhaps is one reason, and the other may be to extend combat gamewide.
I tend to strongly agree with some of your statements Sonn, and have been fighting specifically for things like Scale armor and either redirection of speclines or a reason to spec for weapon at all!
Defense in general is the primary thrust of conversation I pursue, so look for that type of change during my regime _________________ Bard TL |

Hm, that sounds good in me ears, but then we have to make two points crystal clear:
1. The changes so far were general ones and not bard specific.
2. We still need a "bard patch".
If you think this is the attitude of Mythic towards Bards i am happy. If not, . I can still remember the last TL report and in some weeks we can begin to think about our wishes and questions for the next one. That makes me sad, especially because we are still running 1.88 in europe and no word of testing sofar by GOA. Under this circumstances i can expect the "bard patch" in late 2008 if DAOC is still alive at that time. |

If you remember, Music classes were supposed to recieve some special love this year.
Though I have yet to see something specifically for us outside of the range extension for DD's. _________________ Bard TL |

You see it. I see it. But do they see it ?
Honestly i think they see a big fat dwarf banging on his shield, who says again and again:
"HarHar buy me! I am the new WARHAMMER toon of DOOM and i bring you to the money!"
And somewhere deep, deep hiding in the basement of the huge Mythic building in India a little gollumlike, long time forgotten intern thinks in the flickering light of a candle about the upcomming changes in DAOC. |

47 music spec is unplayable because instademezz ae from HT... before that thing it was the best spec.
37 music 33 regrowth 43 nurture now is the only spec playable if u are the bard in a 8man grp. spec heals are really cool and the 37instamezz works fine for interupt.
i read that goss asked for scale armor... i don't think that scale armor is essential... it's not better a revamp for our rr5 with a usable defensive ability? _________________ Loeld Bard 9LX Craobh Rua - Lamorak

My 2nd char was a bard... I loved the 43/33/37 spec. When they gave the very first respec my guild convinced me to go 43/16/47 and I really didn't like it... ended up stopping playing my bard. I felt like too much of a 1 trick poney. I'm glad to see the old split spec is coming back to favor. _________________ Mentalist TL

| I can see no reason for speccing the old Trispec Bard 43/33/37. With the fast 'n' big heal at 32 44/32/37 is possible (16 points more Specc AF). The only reason for speccing the old way would be a manapool near to zero. |
