DaoC is up to 1.103 now I think. Still a fond memory. I just remembered this site from years ago. It's been a long long time and the game still looks good, I started to think what was preventing me from coming back to see how the game has changed. The community, for starters, is likely worlds apart. It's a shame content development has ceased. With low subscription numbers though, I would think now is the time to take the gamble and revamp the game to bring back its original spirit....get a really smart team lead who knows exactly what that was.
I dunno...it'd be great if they took that gamble, using the tons of man-hours already put into the game, to bring it to the present day as if it was a brand new MMO (with loads of launch day content). To me, it'd be better to try that and possibly fail (or succeed greatly), than ride out a dwindling sub base until the doors are closed. (that or GNU-license the client and server side for community development once daoc is discontinued) _________________

I'm playing WoW currently, but I have fond memories of DAoC.
I miss my RR8+ ML10 CL5 Chanter
My RR5+ ML10 CL5 Mentie
My RR7+ ML10 CL5 Druid
etc.
I remember tearing people up with my Chanter + Druid or Mentie + Druid. God I got so good at 2 boxing! _________________ Elladar Spellweaver (Perc) - Mentalist

same
Found the priest was a natural transition from a menty. It's been long enough to tack on a 80 warrior, lock, and mage as well _________________
